James Dennison - Classic Car Specialist

With over 20 years at Brightwells, James has extensive knowledge of the classic car market, with a particular passion for cars from the 1960s to the 1990s. He is highly experienced in valuing Vintage and Veteran cars, researching their histories and tracing provenance to maximise their appeal and value. A lifelong classic car enthusiast with a degree in History and a background in journalism, he combines his research and writing skills to bring the stories behind historic vehicles to life.

Paddy Shave - Head of Department

With over 35 years of experience in the drinks trade, Paddy has extensive knowledge of the wine industry and has led Brightwells’ wine auction business since joining in 2006. He advises private individuals, wine businesses and organisations on the discreet and efficient sale of wine collections and excess stocks. Paddy provides expert valuations, condition reports and cellar management advice to help vendors achieve the best possible return.

Jeremy Jehan - Head of Department

With over 35 years of experience in agricultural land agency, Jeremy specialises in agricultural property and stock valuations, finance, farm and land sales and lettings, and landlord and tenant matters. A qualified Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Livestock Auctioneers Association, he has particular expertise in the poultry sector and advises farmers, banks, finance companies and processors. Having joined Brightwells in 2010, his extensive professional experience is complemented by a strong practical farming background.

Richard Jessop - Transport and Logistics

With extensive experience in farming, haulage and international logistics, Richard specialises in coordinating transport for Brightwells’ Plant and Machinery and Commercial Vehicle auctions. He works closely with clients and hauliers to arrange efficient, cost-effective collections, drawing on many years of experience transporting everything from small items to specialist loads exceeding 50 tonnes worldwide. Richard also has expertise in international shipping, customs and export documentation, dangerous goods transportation, warehouse management and supply chain operations.

David Harry - Vehicles Consignor

With over 30 years of experience in automotive retail, vehicle remarketing and account management, Dave has extensive knowledge of the vehicle industry, specialising in cars, motorhomes and caravans. He works closely with main dealers, finance and leasing companies, rental companies and leisure dealers to understand their requirements and provide a tailored service. Splitting his time between the office and visiting new and existing clients, Dave is focused on building strong relationships and delivering an efficient and professional remarketing service.

Toby Service - Head of Department

Toby heads Brightwells’ Classic and Vintage Motoring department, leading an experienced team in the valuation, presentation and sale of classic and collector vehicles through regular specialist auctions. Having joined Brightwells in 2000, he brings more than 25 years of auction and valuation experience, supported by a BA in Fine Art Valuation and Fellowship of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA). His extensive knowledge of the classic car market enables him to provide professional valuation and auction advice to collectors and owners of significant vehicles.

With over 36 years of experience in the motor trade, James specialises in classic vehicles, with particular expertise in the Modern Classic market. His career began as a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician before moving into car sales, including seven years as a Senior Porsche Sales Executive, giving him extensive technical and commercial knowledge. James works with collectors, enthusiasts, private vendors and motor traders, bringing valuable industry experience to every sale.

Will Binnersley - Fine Wine Specialist

Will specialises in the sale of fine wines, with particular expertise in Red Bordeaux, Vintage Port and Vintage Champagne.
