Showing 119,165 miles, five previously recorded keepers; no advisory
MOT until August 2027; handwritten history of maintenance between 2013 and
2023
First registered in 2002, this Defender 90 is
fitted with the 2.5-litre Td5 diesel engine and presents in a practical, largely
original specification. The accompanying history includes numerous invoices for
servicing and maintenance, together with regular previous MOT
certificates.
Of particular interest is a
handwritten maintenance diary covering 2013 to 2022. This records work including
Waxoyl treatment in 2013 at 83,000 miles, numerous oil and filter changes,
servicing and tyre replacements, a new exhaust in 2014 and a new front bumper in
2020. The last recorded full service was carried out in 2023 at 105,453 miles.
The rear door appears to have been damaged in 2023 and subsequently replaced and
the current mileage now shows as 119,165 miles.
The Defender presents well overall for its age, although inspection
of the underside shows areas of surface corrosion and some deterioration to the
chassis and associated components, as illustrated in the
photographs.
The interior is in usable condition,
with the original-style seating and trim showing relatively modest wear for a
vehicle of this age. The vehicle has also benefited from regular maintenance
rather than simply being left unused.
With five
previously recorded keepers, 119,165 miles showing, a useful history file and a
current MOT through to August 2027 with no advisories, this is an appealing
example of the increasingly collectible Td5 Defender 90.
