Showing just 64,342 miles; five-speed
Steptronic automatic transmission; the 330Ci offered the perfect blend of
refinement, performance and open-top motoring
Supplied new in September 2005 this
well-presented E46 330Ci M Sport Convertible is finished in Space Grey metallic
and trimmed with a full Black Dakota leather interior, complemented by Black
Aluminum Cube interior trim. Showing just 64,342 miles, the car presents as a
particularly desirable example of BMW's increasingly sought-after E46
generation.
Powered by the acclaimed 3.0-litre six-cylinder
petrol engine and paired with the smooth five-speed Steptronic automatic
transmission, the 330Ci offered the perfect blend of refinement, performance and
open-top motoring. Widely regarded as one of BMW's finest naturally aspirated
straight-six engines, it provides effortless performance together with the
character and soundtrack for which the marque is renowned.
Factory specified to a high
standard, optional equipment amounted to over £4,000 when new and includes
automatic transmission, Black Dakota leather upholstery, Bluetooth telephone
preparation, heated front seats, High Gloss Shadow Line trim, sports suspension,
headlamp wash system and automatic headlights with rain-sensitive wipers.
Further features include electrically adjustable sports seats with driver's
memory function, cruise control, onboard computer, electric windows, electric
mirrors, rear Park Distance Control, multifunction M leather steering wheel,
front center armrest, BMW six-disc CD changer, front fog lamps and tyre pressure
monitoring.
The
car benefits from full M Sport styling, including M aerodynamic front and rear
bumpers, M side skirts and sports suspension, and remains fitted with its
original 18-inch MVII alloy wheels. These have recently been professionally
refurbished to factory specification, including acid dipping, crack and buckle
testing, powder coating and clear coating, and are fitted with matching Z-rated
tyres.
Attention
has been paid to both presentation and maintenance. Recent expenditure exceeding
£1,500 has included an engine oil service using Castrol Edge oil and OE Mann
filter, six new Denso spark plugs, OE air and cabin filters, coolant
replacement, a new Duracell battery, professional soft-top treatment, alloy
wheel refurbishment, new under-bonnet insulation, front bumper refinishing and
ceramic coating. Reassuringly, the desirable and often essential boot floor
strengthening modification has also been completed.
The black mohair power hood looks to
be in good condition, operating correctly and having been recently sealed and
protected. The car also features BMW's convenient remote opening and closing
function, allowing operation of both the windows and convertible roof from the
key fob.
The E46
is widely regarded as one of BMW's greatest modern generations, combining
elegant styling, superb driving dynamics and outstanding build quality.
Convertible 330Ci M Sport models are increasingly sought after, particularly
well-specified, low-mileage examples such as this.
A beautifully presented and highly
specified example, showing just 64,342 miles, benefitting from significant
recent expenditure and offering one of the finest combinations of BMW
straight-six performance and open-top
motoring.
