Introduced in 1962, the MGB Roadster
quickly established itself as one of Britain’s most iconic sports cars,
combining timeless styling, nimble handling and dependable mechanicals. With
simple engineering, excellent parts availability and an engaging open-top
driving experience, the MGB remains one of the most accessible and enjoyable
classic British sports cars to own.
Originally
registered in 1969 and finished in what is believed to be Iris Blue, having
originally been white, this MGB presents as an honest and very usable example,
having been enjoyed by the current vendor for the past three
years.
Well used and enjoyed, this bright blue B
has been on many an adventure and has featured at local car shows and photo
shoots with Torque Talk, a local car club that hosts events on site prior to
sale. The vendor informs us that the car has recently benefited from a
carburettor overhaul and upgraded electronic ignition, both helping to improve
its driveability as well as a brand new set of tyres.
The Iris Blue paintwork presents in fair condition, with various
small imperfections, as photographed, consistent with an older MGB. These do
little to detract from its overall appearance, which is enhanced by near-new
chrome wire wheels and a smart black interior.
Starting and driving around site for photography and video, this
honest little roadster represents an excellent opportunity to enter the world of
classic British sports cars and enjoy open-top
motoring.
