1982, this early Range Rover In Vogue is a particularly desirable example of the
original four-door model, finished in striking Nevada Gold Metallic and
retaining its sought-after contoured Velvet interior, affectionately known as
the ‘Teddy Bear’ interior.
Purchased new from H R Owen of
London, the Range Rover has had just six former keepers and is powered by the
3,528cc V8 petrol engine with twin carburettors and automatic transmission. The
speedometer currently displays 85,359 miles.

Vogue was specified with an impressive array of factory options and accessories,
including coachline treatment, specially finished alloy wheels with badged
centres, front and rear folding armrests, rear headrests, a powerful stereo
radio cassette player with four-speaker system, insulated cool box, full
loadspace carpeting, drinks tray, wood veneer door cappings with inlays and the
ever-useful picnic basket.
The car remains wonderfully
evocative of the early luxury Range Rover, with its distinctive Nevada Gold
paintwork and original ‘Teddy Bear’ interior providing an especially appealing
combination. While with us for photography and a short video, the Range Rover
started, drove and stopped as expected.
Accompanying the vehicle is a
comprehensive history file containing original brochures, period price lists and
receipts documenting work carried out over the years.
