Offered at no reserve as spares or repairs; Daimler's instantly
recognisable limousine; powered by Jaguar's legendary 4,235cc XK engine;
rear compartment full of spares
Introduced in 1968,
the Daimler DS420 was one of Britain’s most distinguished luxury limousines,
designed for chauffeur-driven use and favoured by royalty, dignitaries and
senior officials.
Based on Jaguar mechanicals, it
combined imposing styling with a spacious and traditionally appointed interior,
becoming an iconic British limousine during its long production
run.
Manufactured in 1978, this example is
finished in white, having originally been black, and is showing 80,712 miles
with six former keepers recorded.
Offered as a
spares or repairs project and presented in condition as photographed, the
front-right suspension is currently collapsed, with the coil spring
removed.
A selection of spare parts, including
the front spring, are also included in the boot, potentially providing useful
components for restoration or recommissioning.
